California Math Grades 6, 7, Algebra (CA1)
In 2000 the State of California adopted a rigorous set of content standards for many subject areas. This marked the beginning of a new approach to education in the state. For the first time the California Department of Education provided educators with explicit expectations for the content mastery each student should achieve at each grade level. EducAide is pleased to announce the new California Math database module with questions aligned to these standards.
Along with the release of content standards, California developed a High School Exit Exam. Closely aligned to the standards, the exam is intended to verify competency in the grade level standards for reading, writing and mathematics. The exam was first administered in the spring of 2001. Beginning in 2004 students must pass the exam in order to obtain a high school diploma.
The mathematics portion of the exam draws from content standards covered in grades 6 and 7 as well as from Algebra 1. EducAide kept this in mind when developing our new California Math module. The CA1 module includes questions matched to each content standard and objective for Grades 6, 7 and Algebra 1. This ensures coverage of any material on the HSEE but also makes the module a wonderful instructional tool.
There are more than 3100 problems and 585 diagrams in CA1. We are very proud of this new module and are certain educators in and outside of California will appreciate this new collection of rigorous math items.
