Canadian Math Grades 11–12 (CM1)
Canadian Mathematics for grades 11 and 12 is a module inspired by the Western Protocol of Collaboration in Basic Education. The authors, Ted Keating and Al Sarna, are math department heads in the Vancouver Board and vary familiar with the new curriculum. In response to a growing demand for additional course material in Canada, they created 6400 original problems (4780 multiple-choice and 1620 free response) and 550 diagrams to go with them.
While the organization and contents of the CM1 database stem from recommendations of the Western Consortium, the material also adheres closely to NCTM standards and will be useful for any advanced algebra or pre-calculus class in the U.S. or Canada.
Here are the major topics covered in the CM1 database:
- Variables and relations
- Relations and functions
- Measurement
- Trigonometry
- Statistics (data analysis)
- Absolute value
- Quadratic relations
- Quadratic systems
- Logarithms
- Polynomial functions
- Sequence and series
