Pre-Algebra (PRE)

Pre-Algebra is one of the core math modules for Acces (the others are Algebra I and Algebra II / Trigonometry). In a core module, the problems are intended as much for daily instruction as for assessment.

The Pre-Algebra module covers a very broad range of topics that would normally precede a junior or senior high school algebra course, from basic math skills to geometry and simple equation-solving. There are more than enough problems for daily homework assignments, review worksheets, and multiple versions of quizzes and tests. You may also find that the module fills some gaps in your textbook and offers the kind of supplementary material, like probability and statistics, that you have wanted to round out your curriculum.

Altogether, there are more than 15,000 problems in the module, and they are all free-response. The problems are organized into 164 categories (topics), so it is easy to locate specific ones by type or level of difficulty. Here are some of the topics covered in depth in the Pre-Algebra module:

The Pre-Algebra module was designed mainly for use in grades 6–9, but its problems would be appropriate for review, remediation, or testing at any level. Since Acces can produce comprehensive, customized documents in just a few minutes, this database is particularly good for students who need help with basic skills, who enroll late in a class, have an extended absence, or require any kind of personal attention.
