Texas Elementary Math (TX9)

In 1998 the State of Texas replaced its Instructional Targets with the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills, or TEKS. As a result, a new exam, the Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills, or TAKS has been developed and will be implemented in 2003.

The TAKS exam is a completely re-designed assessment. The new design is intended to pose more authentic questions and more accurately measure student learning. EducAide is pleased to serve our Texas customers with a new collection of TAKS/TEKS-aligned modules.

TX9 is the TAKS revision of TX6. EducAide's TEXAS Elementary Math module is a collection of over 3000 multiple-choice problems based on the TAKS objectives and TEKS for grades 3–6. The skills tested on the TAKS exam are now expressed in the exact language of the TEKS. Using the same language supports classroom instruction by reinforcing the direct link between the student assessment program and the state-mandated curriculum. Also included is the largest clipart library of any Acces database module—1584 pictures, charts and graphs.

Whether a teacher wants to give an occasional practice test, benchmark student progress on a regular basis, or integrate test prep. into daily work, the Elementary Math module will prove to be an indispensable tool.
