Before proceeding, make sure you are in Basic View by choosing

Before you can use your own images in Acces4, you must save them in the User Folder. The location of this folder can be specified by choosing and clicking on Paths. The default is Documents\My Acces4 Content\. Acces will look for files in this folder before looking in any other folder. For more information about where Acces looks for images, refer to Precedence in Acces4. We recommend using images with a resolution of 300 dpi for the best print quality.

Acces4 allows you to insert images in two ways: as a figure and as an xfigure. Figures are in-line with the problem text and have limited formatting options. XFigures can "float" around a problem and have additional options such as the ability to hide repeated xfigures. This guide will focus on using figures. Select a problem and open the Visual Editor. (For more information about opening and using the Visual Editor, see the article Editing a Problem Using the Visual Editor)
Place the cursor where you want to insert the image
Click the Insert Image button on the toolbar.
Select the source for your image by double-clicking a source in the list.
If "My Content" is not one of the options, then you have not saved a compatible image in the User Folder.
Select the image you want to insert and click Insert.
Click OK to return to the editor.
