Select from the View menu to open this view.
Advanced View builds on top of Basic View's problem thumbnail display by adding the ability to edit problem source code and metadata within the view itself. You can switch between the thumbnail and source code for a problem by clicking the View and Edit tabs at the bottom of the window.

The Add button is the small blue + sign at the bottom right of the view. Click the small arrow to the right of the button to bring up a pop-up menu that lets you choose where you want to add a new, blank problem. Clicking the button itself will perform the default add operation (adding a new problem to the end of the current part).

Select the Problem Metadata you want to edit from the list, then type in a new value in the edit box. A warning message will pop up if you type an invalid value.
Click the Edit tab at the bottom left of the Advanced View panel to display the Problem Source edit panel. Use the button near the top left to edit the source for the Problem stem and/or the answer choices, if the problem is multiple choice.
Use the Answer tab to record the correct answer for open-ended questions. The information entered in the Answer field will only be displayed on the answer key.
Use the XFigure tab to insert a figure, either from Acces' figure database or your own figure. For more information on how to insert figures, see the Figures page.
Use the Comments tab to record comments about the problem.
If you're making changes to a problem that originally came from one of the installed Frameworks (i.e.,
you've extracted and edited a Problem), you can revert to the original, unextracted version of the
Problem by clicking the Revert button
in the upper right of the Problem Source panel.
While making changes to a problem, you can preview what the content of your problem will look like by clicking the View tab at the bottom left of the Advanced View panel. or by pressing the F8 key. Press the Edit tab or the F8 key again to return to the edit panel. Note that most formatting options will not display until you preview your document.
