Preferences

The Preferences command brings up a dialog that lets you set different program options for Acces.

General Options

Database Browser Display

Use these options to set what you want the Database Browser to display when Acces starts up.

last level visited

Select this option to have the Database Browser start in the same location you visited the last time you used Acces

the following level

Set this option and click the " ..." button on the right to browse to the location you want the Database Browser to display

Number of recent files in File menu

Use this option to the maximum number of files Acces remembers and displays in the Recent Files list

Maximum number of Undo levels

Use this option to set the maximum number of operations Acces lets you undo. Setting this number too high may cause Acces to use a lot of system memory, degrading overall system performance.

Framework Manager

Clicking this button will bring up the Framework Manager dialog, which lets you pick which Frameworks you want Acces to load when it starts up. To help Acces startup faster and to save system memory, it's recommended that you load only the Frameworks you expect to use when creating your documents.

Path Options

User-created content folder

Use this option to set the folder Acces4 should search for figures, passages, figures, etc. that you've created and want to add to your documents.

Include subfolders
Check this box if any of your custom content is stored in subfolders inside of the folder specified above.

Figures Options

Use this option to set the figures editor you would like Acces to use when editing figures. You may also adjust the Print Brightness settings if your figures are printing too dark or too light.

Identity Options

Preferences dialog - Identity tab

Teacher Name, Class Name

Use these options to set the default values for the matching Document Properties fields. Acces4 will use these values every time it creates a new document.
