The command brings up a standard Windows Open dialog you can use to open any Acces4 Document from your computer. Note that the dialog lets you select one or more files by holding Ctrl or Shift as you click on files.
Acces checks to make sure that all Documents you try to open are valid Acces4 Documents. Should any Document fail the validation check, an error message will pop up with information on why the Document is invalid.
Select Acces 3 Documents in the "Files of type" list and browse for your Acces 3.x document as normal.
Acces4 will do its best to convert and open an old Acces 3 document. Some formatting options, though, may be lost during conversion. Be sure to preview your documents before printing to make sure they look the way you want them to.
While Acces4 can open older Acces 3.x documents, it can't save them in the Acces 3.x format. Documents can only be saved as Acces4 documents.
