Acces Interface
Columns (Number)

This option sets the default number of columns for the entire document. Note that this setting can be overridden for individual Parts by choosing Format > Test/Wksh. Options.

Columns (Problem Flow)

Sets how problems should flow in test/worksheets with multiple columns. Here's how the different settings would affect a document with 3 columns:

Vertical
Problem 1 | Problem 5 | Problem 9
Problem 2 | Problem 6 | Problem 10
Problem 3 | Problem 7 | Problem 11
Problem 4 | Problem 8 | Problem 12

Horizontal
Problem 1 | Problem 2 | Problem 3
Problem 4 | Problem 5 | Problem 6
Problem 7 | Problem 8 | Problem 9
Problem 10 | Problem 11 | Problem 12

Problems per page

Set the number of problems that should be placed on each page of the document. Depending on the problems in your document, setting a high value might result in problems overlapping each other.

Select the auto option to let Acces automatically place the ideal number of problems in each column.

Include workspace for problems

Selecting this option adds extra space after each problem for students to work out their answers.

Stretch to Fill Pages

Selecting this option distributes any leftover workspace evenly among the problems on a column or page. Leaving the option deselected results in all leftover space being added to the end of a column or page.

Show Directions

Select this option to print out any directions associated with the Parts in your document.

Beginning of each Part
Print a Part's directions directly above the start of a Part. (If a Part starts at the middle of the page, its direction will be printed at the middle of the page.)
Above Each Problem
Prints a Part's directions above each Problem in the Part.
Top of Page
Print a Part's directions at the top of each page that the Part starts on. (If a Part starts at the middle of the page, its direction will be printed at the top of the page.)
