The Format menu contains commands that affect how the active document and its elements will look when printed.
The first group of menu items bring up the same multi-paged Layout dialog, with the only difference being which page is first displayed. These four menu items let you change settings that affect the entire document, such as Headers and Footers, and the font used throughout the entire document.
The second group of menu items also brings up different pages within the same multi-paged Layout dialog. Unlike the first group of items, the second group of items lets you change settings that affect individual Problems and Parts. Settings can be applied to the currently selected Problem/Part, or to all Problems/Parts within the document. Select how you want the settings to be applied by selecting one of the Apply settings radio buttons next to the OK button. Depending on which options page you're on, different options may become enabled/disabled when changing the Apply settings option.

More information about how Layout options are applied through a document can be found in the appendix How Layout Options Work.
